Different

Different
Through the school window I stare
Amazed by the flock in the air
I can see the geese
Their beating wings never cease
Refusing to break their structured V
Never trying to fly away and be free
Fighting against the ways of the wind
Creating their own path would be a sin
The white and black pattern consistent in the crew
Except for a brown runt speckled with blue
I named this one Different because of her unique style
Taking the wrong turn every once in a while
Although Different made some mistakes
She continued to fly, for she could never break

  1. Brooke, I really likes how you wrote this poem because it is different! It has an interesting rhythm that helps it flow nicely along with the usage of capitalization. The message is very inspirational as well.
