Every Last Bit of You

You listen to the screams on your side
What may seem like second nature becomes distant
Through the chaos you suddenly can't decide
Your feet stop, virtually nonexistent

Its a 50/50, a matter of who wants it more
Who would put their lives on the line for their team
Remembering the time you should have had the score
The kind of win that you have in your dream

You push it, push it until you hit a wall
But once you hit, you break through it
A time where it doesn't help to shrink and be small
It requires sacrifice, pain, and most of all grit

The ball is in your stick
Your team is counting on you, you can't quit
You've come so far to throw it away too quick
You come out strong as a team, through Every Last Bit.

  1. I really liked this poem. It reminded me about athletics at EA. I thought you conveyed a great message about sportsmanship and sacrifice. It was great how this poem was about athletics, and especially the sacrifice and hard work needed to excel at athletics. Good Job!
