The Performer
He put on his clothes. Bright, obnoxious, eye catching stripes and dots and more. Makeups on. White face, bright blue eyebrows. Bald cap with Einstein hair? Check. More makeup? Check. He’s ready. He leaves his dressing room, and waits in the wings of the tent. The elephant goes around the circle once, twice, thrice. The acrobat does one, two flips, thats his cue! He runs out of the wings, grinning, clapping, cartwheeling. The audience laughs, cheers, smiles. He likes it when they smile. Now he's running again. To the acrobat! The acrobat shoes him away, and when he doesn't go, grabs him and flips him onto the elephant. Now the elephant is going in circles again, but wait! He's still holding on. The audience laughs, cheers, smiles. Around and around he goes, until in a daring feat of braveness, he jumps! He's in the air, one second, two second, three seconds...The acrobat swoops in in the nick of time, and throws him into the wings again. The audience laughs, cheers smiles. In the darkness of the wings, he laughs, cheers and smiles too.
